Job Overview
We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Preschool Assessment Team. This position focuses on supporting preschool-aged children with diverse needs, providing assessments, interventions, and recommendations to enhance their developmental and educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of preschool students to identify fine motor, sensory, and other developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions in collaboration with the Preschool Assessment Team.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting each child’s growth and success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports in accordance with school and district policies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on occupational therapy goals and progress.
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance and strategies to support students in various settings.
- Valid California Occupational Therapist License.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with preschool-aged children, is required.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
