Location: Lake Forest & Mission Viejo, CA area

Start Date: ASAP

Hours per Week: 30-40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $40.00 /hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to support students across two elementary schools located within a 3-mile radius. This role follows an inclusive/push-in model, ensuring that students receive specialized instruction within the general education setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Utilize inclusive teaching strategies to foster student engagement and success in the classroom.
• Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education policies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Required: Active California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate).
• Experience in an inclusive/push-in service model is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Caseload & Work Environment

• Caseload: Not to exceed 28 students.
• Schools: Two elementary schools within a 3-mile distance.
• Supportive team environment with access to resources for student success.
