What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Birch Agency?
We need an SLP for a full-time, onsite, 10-month school contract in a North Carolina school.
This itinerate speech pathologist is around the Statesville, North Statesville and Troutman region. It includes three (3) school sites with a K-12 caseload of approximately 15 students. The smaller caseload allows the Speech Pathologist to focus on working with a smaller groups of speech pathology sessions. Mileage and travel time paid. This work schedule allows the SLP to service students within a region. Established and managed caseload.
Educational And Certifications Requirements
- Masters degree or higher in speech pathology, language, and communication disorders.
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid North Carolina state Speech Language Pathology licensure (NCSLP)
Job Details
- CCC-SLP
- 37.50-hours per week.
- K-12 age group with mostly, elementary and middle school students with a few high schools.
- August 2024 start through May/June 2025
- Conduct direct/in-direct speech services to children
- Provide fun, creative and education speech therapy lessons.
- Work with student on speech, communication, and language disorders individually or, in small groups.
- Understands North Carolina EcATS Individualized Evaluation Plans (I.E.P.) software.
- Follow the N.C. rules & regulations (IDEAS)
- Prior NC school experience or pediatrics preferred is preferred.
- Duties include Medicaid billing, detailed notes and communicating with school staff and families.
