Approximately 7 student caseload
PK-10th grade
Qualifications
Master's degree in from an accredited institution
Valid state license or certification Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Visual Impairments
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired with Birch Agency, you will:
- Perform functional vision and learning media assessments
- Interpret eye medical reports as they relate to educational environments
- Contribute to the development of the IEP
- Recommend appropriate specialized evaluations as needed, such as low vision, orientation and mobility, psycho-social, and adaptive physical education
- Consult with diagnosticians, classroom teachers, students, and parents concerning appropriate evaluations, modification, and test administration
- Provide Braille Instruction
