Position Summary

The Grant Accountant and Revenue Manager is a frontline, hands-on position that supports the agency in grants / financial reporting, and accounting functions, including and not limited to the management and administration of all Birch Family Services Government and Private Grants Portfolio. In addition, the position will be responsible for various accounting functions, including and not limited to monthly journal entries and reconciliations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Grants Management

  • Coordinate Grants Reporting and Budget submission with Program Partners and Funders
  • Liaise with Grant Funders and Program partners
  • Provide Quarterly Analyses to Stakeholders
  • Maintain complete electronic system of grants filing as required. Ensure compliance with requirements for all Grants.
  • Maintains the grants AR sub-leger and ensures that the receivables are appropriately recorded and managed for the relevant grants.
  • Assists Budget Department with the preparation of Annual Grants budgets and forecasting.
  • Meet with Program Partner for monthly status updates.
  • Proactive in management of the Grants
  • Collaborates in Ad-hoc Projects as needed.
  • Provide Support During Audit for all Grants.

Accounting Functions

  • Monthly journal entries related to grant billing and any grant-related transactions.
  • Create and process all monthly Grant invoices.
  • Track and maintain accurate Cash Receipts.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. A relevant master’s degree is a strong plus.
  • Maintain certification in areas of expertise.
  • Minimum of 3 yrs. experience.
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Should have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (35 hrs. per week). Flexibility in work schedule will be necessary to accommodate agency functions and meetings as assigned.
