Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated person (s) to care for our 28 residents. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a variety of settings, including retirement homes, personal care homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of residents while respecting their rights and promoting independence.
Shift:
Days: Fri-Sat-Sun 6A-6P
Nights: Tues-Wed-Thurs
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, and dressing, grooming.
- Daily Activities such as games, cards and BINGO done daily.
- Ensure that resident rights are upheld and that each individual is treated with dignity and respect.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the facility or home.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all residents.
- Document care provided and report any significant changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, group homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
