In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles to meet specific operational requirements. This position requires a mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As an Associate Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that emergency responders have the reliable vehicles they need to serve the community effectively.
Previous experience with car audio installation, custom vehicle fabrication, 12-volt home security installs or auto mechanics is a plus.
Job Duties:
· Perform detailed pre- and post-vehicle inspections and diagnostics to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
· Disassemble and reassemble various vehicle components, including trim, seats, and bumpers, as part of the preparation process.
· Unbox, label, and assemble all equipment needed for installation, ensuring everything is organized and ready to be installed.
· Program emergency lights according to customer-specific patterns and requirements.
· Assemble custom wiring harnesses tailored to each vehicle’s configuration, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
· Collaborate with senior installers to gain hands-on experience and assist in vehicle preparation and assembly tasks.
· Conduct thorough testing of all installed equipment to verify proper functionality.
· Prepare vehicles for customer pickup by thoroughly cleaning and vacuuming both the interior and exterior.
· Monitor and update supply inventory to ensure availability of necessary parts and tools, keeping records up-to-date.
· Safely and efficiently use power tools and equipment during the installation process to ensure high-quality results.
· Prioritize tasks to meet production goals and deadlines, following guidance from supervisors.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work completed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems & vehicle wiring.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Will be expected to supply your own basic set of tools commonly used in the performance of automotive repair work. Time will be given to new employees to purchase these items after hire if required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, stoop, bend, lay down, twist, climb, stand, and sit for extended periods to install equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to perform work both indoors and outdoors as needed.

Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-6PM (40 Hours per week)
Probationary Period: This position includes a 90-day probationary period during which your performance will be evaluated. Successful completion of this period may lead to continued employment with potential for full-time advancement and additional benefits.
Compensation:
Full-Time: $33,280-$37,400 annually
