Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Project Estimator, you will be a cornerstone of the project management team, responsible for:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals.
• Creating detailed scopes of work aligning to estimates
• Validating subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure scope completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborating with architects to resolve RFIs and clarify project requirements.
• Developing project schedules that account for market conditions and lead times.
• Researching and sourcing materials, ensuring precision and efficiency in cost forecasting.
• Partnering with project managers to ensure seamless handoffs and effective contract negotiations.
• Maintaining and enhancing our cost database to reflect industry trends and insights.
• Creating special reports that analyze data and identify emerging construction trends.
• Staying ahead of the curve through ongoing education and technical training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in construction, including estimating.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, industry practices, and construction means and methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and electronic estimating tools.
• Expertise in data analysis and a solid understanding of financial and project management principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
