The ideal candidate for this position will greet our residents each day with positive energy, creativity, and compassion to make their day special. The Activities Assistant will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Coordinator in planning and implementing a variety of activities to enhance our residents’ mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social needs.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing and organizing and implementation of all resident activities
- Maintain a professional, warm and caring relationship and contacts with the community
- Assist residents to and from activities
- Initiate and conduct resident activities including groups and working with volunteers
- Comfortable working with seniors with memory loss
- Work collaboratively with other departments to meet the needs of residents

Qualifications
- Must successfully complete a background study
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CNA, HHA, or PCA preferred but not required
- Experience working with seniors and/or memory care preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must have a current valid Driver's license
