SUMMARY OF POSITION: Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our members and their guests. You are their primary point of contact. Always be polite, enthusiastic about job, hospitable and a “can-do” attitude, project a sense of urgency towards providing quality food, beverage and service in a timely manner. We are a team, and we need to act like one, ask if help is needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be part of a team. Work together and be attentive to each other‘s needs before and during the course of service.
· Make sure your station and tables are detailed.
· Welcome and greet guests by name. Make all of our members feel comfortable and let them know you‘re there to personally take care of them.
· Take beverage orders, make recommendations, and provide pairing suggestions. Enter orders correctly in our point-of-sale system that relays them to the kitchen and bar.
· Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by assignment
· Take food order from guests and correctly enter into our P.O.S. system. Check order before sending to kitchen and check for memos or specials requests.
· Monitor and observe member‘s dining experience throughout the duration of their evening. Ensure member satisfaction with the food and service. A 2 minute, 2 bite check back will assure all are happy with meals. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
· Final bill should be checked for any errors and then brought to member for signing.
· Assist with set up and break down of private events
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Preferred to have dining experience and knowledge of dining room service procedures and functions, food and beverages.
· Possess basic math skills and can operate a point-of-sale system.
· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
· Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 pounds.
