Job Description:
To assist Pastry Chef in preparing/producing quality dessert items consistently and within required time frames while maintaining standards of the kitchen. Standards include; cleanliness/sanitation, effective communication and exceeding skill levels. Examples of items to produce include Brioche and Focaccia, Breakfast Pastries and Croissants, Gelato and Sorbet, Center of the Plate Dessert Menu Items, Custom Menus, Creative Exposure
Requirements:
Certified in Food Handling Certificate
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in a Professional Pastry Kitchen
- Display confidence in team work
- Able to apply simple Mathematics to recipes and yields
- Basic knowledge of weights and measurements
- Effective ability to multitask
- In coming order requisition
- Clear understanding of Pastry/Baking Methods and Techniques
- Maintain a CLEAN and ORGANIZED work station
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs
- Scheduling will be rotated due to volume of establishment (Mornings/Nights, Holidays, Weekends)
