Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order and ensuring a safe, infection free environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sanitizing: this includes dusting, polishing and sanitizing of client rooms, common areas, and offices.
- Time management: meeting cleaning schedules and deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Other skills and knowledge: cleaning tools and supplies, physical stamina and strength, reliability, following departmental procedures and policies, following all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Being a Mandated Reporter for witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within a nursing home, residential home or hospital is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
