Position Overview:

As a Business Broker/ Intermediary, you will be the key to unlocking the doors of entrepreneurship for aspiring business owners. This role is like no other -- think of it as a realtor for businesses, where you list businesses for sale and match individuals with the perfect opportunity.

NOTE: This is an independent contractor, commission based, position (i.e. much like a real estate agent).

Job Description: Your primary duties as a Business Broker/Intermediary are as follows:

Identify and work with business owners to prepare and facilitate the sale of their business now or at some point in the future.

Identify and work with organizations and individuals seeking to acquire businesses for either investment or operational purposes.

Position Type: Business Broker. Compensation to be negotiated. Average Broker earnings range from $120,000 to $300,000.

Market Segment: We work primarily within the Main Street ( under 500K Revenue), Small Business(500K - 5M Revenue), and Lower Middle Market (5-50M Revenue) segments.

Locations: We have a Business Broker/Intermediary positions available at our Montgomery, and Huntsville main offices. We also are looking for candidates in Auburn and Tuscaloosa area. You must live within commute-distance of Montgomery / Huntsville to be eligible for this position.

Work Environment: We work and succeed as a Team. We follow well-defined workflows and practices. While you will operate as an Independent Contractor, our offices provide a multitude of support functions to help drive your success, including, but not limited to: marketing and lead generating activities, administrative support, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Matchmaking: Identify the right buyer based on candidates' skills, interests, and financial goals.
  • Consultation: Provide expert guidance to potential buyers and sellers, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Support: Assist candidates throughout the process of selling a business.
  • Marketing: Work with marketing to assist you with creating the perfect listing and finding that ideal candidate to buy a business.

· Activities:

· Provide professional services to owners of small to medium-size businesses in order to sell their businesses to qualified buyers.

· -Assist in finding the businesses that meet specific requirements, and help in making an informed decision as to which business is the right one.

· Perform financial analysis, market valuation, negotiation, client coaching and transition coordination.

While at least two years of relevant experience is preferred, it is not a requirement. If you have any experience in the following: business ownership, finance, business to business sales, consumer sales, timeshare sales, commercial realtors and business development or consulting, we would like to talk to you.

Requirements:

· The ability to self-support for 6 months

· Competency in technology including CRM systems, email and Microsoft Office suite.

· Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for business ownership

· Real Estate License preferred not required,

· Insurance Sales, Mortgage Servicing experience preferred; not required.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong problem-solving abilities

· Self-motivated and results-driven

· Willingness to learn and adapt.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or MBA preferred but not required.
  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Job Type: Contract Independent contractor. 100% Commission

Pay: $100,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year or more.
