Location: Bird’s Eye Outfitters, Sault Ste. Maire, MI
Position Type: Part-time with potential for Full-time (Monday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts are required; additional shifts may be available)

Join our team as a Kitchen Team Member at Bird’s Eye Outfitters, where you’ll play a vital role in preparing delicious meals, beverages, and menu items while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation:
- Follow recipes to prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency.
- Make sandwiches, salads, smoothies, smoothie bowls, and other menu items to order.
- Prepare frozen portions, nut butter, and house-made sauces.
- Slice meats and cheeses, portion ingredients, and execute various knife cuts.
- Use ovens, panini presses, and other kitchen equipment to prepare orders.
Kitchen Operations:
- Maintains cleanliness of the line, workspaces, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Perform daily dishwashing and periodic deep cleaning tasks.
- Track and maintain house-made inventory and communicate shortages.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Customer Service:
- Deliver food to customers promptly and with a positive attitude.
- Check-in with customers when delivering food to ensure their needs are met.
- Communicate customer feedback or requests to the team to enhance the dining experience.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the cafe, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure seamless communication and service.
- Assist teammates in all areas as needed to support smooth operations and maintain a team-first mindset.
Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in food service or a dietary department (preferred).
- Strong recipe execution skills and attention to detail for consistent quality.
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment (knives, mixers, etc.).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Adaptability to adjust workflows based on changing circumstances.
- A positive attitude, willingness to take constructive feedback, and proactive problem-solving skills.
