Role Overview :
The Sr. Strategic Planning Associate is primarily responsible for balancing spare parts availability to enable quick repair of damaged vehicles without tying up too much capital in parts. This role will own spare parts planning from end-to-end : aggregating demand data, managing inventory, projecting future consumption and ultimately budget and purchase order creation. The scope is global across Bird's range of vehicle types, including several models of e-scooters and e-bikes. This role works cross-functionally with the vehicle repair operations, vehicle engineering and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain Spare Parts Planning tools, IT systems, documentation, and methodologies
- Own monthly planning process, updating demand models against inventory and translating data insights to order recommendations
- Lead annual parts planning process, forecasting parts supply and demand over a 18-24 month period to create a budget
- Work closely with repair operations and vehicle engineering teams to integrate new vehicles or SKUs into Bird's supply chain
- Manage inventory health with periodic reviews of sell or recycle decisions
- Continuously seek ways to stretch Bird's parts budget, through alternative parts or suppliers, rationing and / or other controls, remove trailing comma
- 2-4 years of experience in a highly quantitative role. Candidates with previous experience in a strategy / planning / investment banking / consulting / business intelligence role typically have the required skills, but all previous experience will be considered.
- Support ad hoc projects of central operations
