The ideal candidate will possess exceptional service skills, extensive experience in wiring and programming Access Control systems, and a solid understanding of CCTV troubleshooting and installation. This role requires a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to providing high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair enterprise-level Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Perform installation, programming, cabling, and testing of advanced electronic security equipment.
- Install connectors on multi-conductor cables and conduct continuity testing.
- Install and repair electrified locking hardware such as magnetic locks, panic push bars, mortise locks, and strikes.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair Access Control panels, power supplies, and mechanical components.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair analog and network cameras.
- Program IP cameras, ping servers from camera locations, and handle terminations at both field and head-end locations.
- Follow specifications, instructions, and standard procedures while reading wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide effective training to customers and communicate relevant information to supervisors.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application to client needs.
- Escalate and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in security systems installation, maintenance, and service.
- Proven expertise in wiring Access Control panels, programming systems, and troubleshooting using meters (including handling resistors at end-of-line wiring).
- CCURE Certified
- Extensive experience troubleshooting CCTV issues, including:
- Identifying and resolving video feed problems.
- Programming IP addresses into IP cameras.
- Conducting server ping tests and performing field terminations.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail, safety compliance, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for both technical training and internal reporting.
- Experience with advanced electrified locking systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level security software and systems.
