Purpose, Scope, & Dimension of Job:

Supervisory Responsibility:
Several supervisory responsibilities, including:
Staff Management: Overseeing bar staff, including training new employees, working together to accommodate staffing solutions, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Quality Control: Ensuring that all drinks are prepared to standard, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
Inventory Management: Managing stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and placing orders to ensure sufficient supplies.
Customer Service: Providing excellent service, addressing customer complaints, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Compliance: Ensuring that all legal regulations regarding alcohol service are followed, including checking IDs and managing responsible service practices.
Financial Oversight: Handling cash registers, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records for the bar.
Health and Safety: Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the bar area, as well as adhering to health and safety regulations.
Conflict Resolution: Mediating disputes among staff or customers and maintaining a safe environment within the bar.
These responsibilities help ensure that the bar operates smoothly and provides a positive experience for patrons.
Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:
- Drink Preparation: Crafting a wide range of cocktails and beverages accurately and efficiently while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to patrons, engaging with them to enhance their experience, and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Suggestive Selling: Utilizing knowledge of the menu to recommend drinks and food pairings, encouraging patrons to try new items and enhancing their overall experience.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Keeping the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring all equipment and tools are in good working condition.
- Cash Handling: Accurately processing transactions, managing the cash register, and ensuring proper financial reporting.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication during busy shifts.
- Training and Mentoring: Assisting in the training of new bartenders and providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- 2 to 3 years of barback or bartending experience.
- knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer
