Barista and Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, passionate and energetic Barista to join our team! As a Barista at Birdy's, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages such as coffees, lattes, matchas, etc. and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customers are happy with their order.
• Operate the Clover POS system for processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations during food preparation and service.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and notifying management of low inventory levels.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with Clover POS or similar cash register systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
• Experience in food preparation within a food service setting is advantageous.
• Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and products.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.40 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
