We are currently seeking an experienced sales professional with a background in regional chain business sales throughout the San Francisco Bay area. This role is to create and execute successful sales strategies that contribute to the company’s growth and profitability. This is a high-performance role, where new business sales, whether through new customers or penetration of current accounts is expected. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, planning and business acumen in the wholesale food service environment. The Multi Unit Sales Representative will report directly to the District Multi Unit Sales Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support a select number of existing chain accounts, with approximate sales volume of $15 Million annually.
- Seek and obtain new chain business opportunities that coincide with the budget goals of the BiRite Sales Department.
- Maintain a current prospect list and utilize the online calendar to track activities, including detailed itinerary showing effort to move the sales process forward.
- Engage with decision makers to proactively qualify potential new customers for profitability.
- Identify penetration opportunities and align resources to win additional case sales in our existing accounts.
- Build lasting business relationships with exceptional customer care and follow through to minimize account attrition.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with our chain customers to evaluate needs.
- Complete weekly and monthly customer reporting in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Assist in the research and performance of all pricing audits, as requested by contracted customers.
- Display excellent communication skills whether in person or over email, phone or text message.
- Proficient in sales supports functionality with the I Series Business System, PowerSell application, PowerNet customer order entry platform and Power Mobile customer tablet order entry application and Insight, a robust business analytics tool for sales research and customer requirements.
- Evaluate current business to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop strong product knowledge.
- Stay informed about food trends and business news.
- Research item inquiries and work closely with our purchasing team.
- New Item Stocking Requests.
- Inventory management by evaluating on hand vs. weekly demand.
- Utilize our brand partners and specialists for sales support and samples.
- Request local deviations for high volume items to bring value to our customers.
- Maintain bid pricing and contractual obligation for all accounts.
- Access and utilization of all daily / weekly sales reports.
- Evaluate customer delivery days / window needs and coordinate with routing for successful execution
- Process credits and returns within company guidelines.
- Maintain a credit due balance of more than 95% current at any time by following up on billing and A / R
- Assist the District Multi Unit Account Manager in pricing analysis and overall profitability of chain customers and with special projects.
- Proficient in “G-Suite” applications, specifically the Sheets access for spreadsheets and customer needs.
- Cross training with members of the chain account sales staff to possess a working knowledge of all chain business.

Salary Range : $80,000-$100,000 per year (DOE)
Position : Full Time, Exempt
Schedule : Monday to Friday, must have Sunday availability on a rotational basis and may be required
to work some holidays.
