JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Registration System Analyst will maintain, support and perform data validation and analytics on the online registration system. This includes the development of a registration timeline for the district, custom creation of registration forms, applications and surveys, training district employees on the use of the software and providing registration support to the district.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a district-wide registration timeline.
- Coordinate the annual update of registration forms with departments and schools.
- Provide software support for online registration software by responding in a timely manner to users who experience problems with navigating the software.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of support issues using email, spreadsheets and help desk management system.
- Escalate issues to appropriate supervisor, department or support desk.
- Monitor all support requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Document troubleshooting processes and resulting problem resolutions
- Openly and broadly share problem resolutions.
- Make effective use of ticketing system records to identify patterns, systemic problems, and end-user training needs.
- Provide training for various registration software stakeholders in a classroom setting regarding processes and procedures involved in operating the registration software.
- Provide support and training to school registration teams to ensure that student information is maintained with confidence and accuracy.
- Implement contingency plans for system glitches and breakdowns and fully communicates these plans to student information software stakeholder groups.
- Assure the quality and accuracy of registration data through the implementation of policies, procedures and state requirements.
- Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, confidentiality standards, local board policies, and state & federal rules & regulations.
- Acquire a minimum of 12 hours of professional development each year relevant to the position.
- Accept any other assignment as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or three (3) years of work experience in computer science or technology preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years combined experience in student information systems and/or online registration systems or technical support preferred.
- Experience in customer service, software support, software training and technology.
- Ability to work in a team environment to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to other departments.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
