Quality Assurance Inspector
Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Quality Manager
Summary
This position will involve assisting in the day-to-day activities within the Quality Department, maintaining calibration status on all instruments, Inspecting parts through the manufacturing process. having the ability to work independently or in a team environment, critical thinking and using good judgment in decision-making. The position will also aid in the in-process inspection process and final inspection process as needed.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Perform random inspections in manufacturing departments to ensure product quality standards are met.
- Organize and maintain all inspection instruments.
- Coordinate with Quality Manger to schedule calibration services as needed.
- Correspond with Quality Control representatives on any defects found during dock inspections.

- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively with or without direct supervision as well as independently or in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical/Cognitive Demands
This is largely a physically active role including walking long distances (over uneven surfaces) to/within our production facility, lifting 50lbs or more, and standing for long periods. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
