Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with at least 10 years verifiable VA, DOD renovation construction Superintendence experience for a renovation project at the VAHS of the Ozarks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management in an occupied medical facility, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Duties
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel involved in the construction process.
- Review project plans and schematics to ensure compliance with specifications and quality control standards.
- Utilize construction management software and tools such as Primavera for project scheduling and tracking.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety regulations in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations.
- Collaborate with project managers on construction estimating and budgeting processes.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven 10 years experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software, particularly Primavera.
- OSHA 30 Certification within 2 years .
- EM 385.1.1 knowledge.
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams effectively.
- Experienced computer skills, ms word, excel, adobe etc.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
