Job Summary
To provide security at assigned Authority parking decks by monitoring electronic surveillance equipment, patrolling the decks, counting vehicles, and contacting police in emergency situations. Ensures that reserved spaces are filled by those with authorization. Assists in overall operation of assigned facility by responding to inquiries by customers, filling in for cashiers during break and lunch periods, assisting in counting or verifying the amount of money. Prepares logs and assists in establishing and maintaining records.

Essential Functions
- Provides security at assigned Authority parking decks: Monitors electronic surveillance equipment; patrols facility in order to observe activity and counts vehicles; stands at entry or exit locations to assist customers and monitor their security; maintains security log of activities and vehicle counts; changes video tapes on equipment and resets in accordance with established procedures; monitors elevator phones and calls elevator company if customer is trapped or if there is another emergency with the elevator; issues warning tickets in accordance with established procedures; locks/unlocks offices, cashier booths, cabinets, etc., in accordance with established procedures; posts “Full” signs when applicable.
- Assists in overall operation and fiscal integrity of assigned shifts and decks: Pulls first ticket and records on occupancy form; removes coins from coin box, completes report, and gives to cashier; contacts maintenance staff if equipment is not working properly; loads ticket machines in accordance with established procedures; operates gate equipment manually as needed; fills in for cashier during break and lunch periods as needed; removes day’s receipts and takes to designated location in accordance with established procedures.

Education
- High School Diploma/GED High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Work Experience
- Previous experience in security service and dealing with the public.
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver’s License, Valid Upon Hire
