Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience on cardiac floor required
- Travel experience required unless RN has more than 2 years of cardiac PCU experience
- Prior experience with Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management
- Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
- Must past EKG test prior to start
- Arterial line management
- Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Charge Experience
- Ratios: 1:4 for surgical step down, 1:5-6 for lower acuity
- 12-hour nights,
- Float Requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to float
- Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks
- Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
- 24-hour orientation
