Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in telemetry setting
- Experience with IV Starts
- Active ACLS, BCLS and NIH
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
- Ratios: 1:5-6
- 13-week contract
- 12 hour nights, 36 or 48 Hours can be offered
- Floating required as needed to similar floors
- 4 weekend shifts per each 6 week schedule
- Pre/Post Cath
- Pre/Post PPM & AICD
- Watchmen Procedures
- Stress Tests
- Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths,
- TIA population
- Carotid Stent Patient Management
- Cardiac Tele
- Management of Arrhythmias
- Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI patients
- CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length.
- There is rapid patient turnover on the unit, daily.
- There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
- Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day.
- If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy.
- Unit cannot promise a block schedule at any time.
