We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Telemetry Travel Nurse to join our team at Biron Robertson for roles across North Carolina. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience, first time travelers accepted
• Prior experience with IV Start and Telemetry
• Active ACLS, BCLS and NIH
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
  
  
  

Job Details

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Ratios: 1:5-6
• Floating required as needed to similar units
  
  
  

Patient Diagnoses

• Pre/Post Cath
• Pre/Post PPM & AICD
• Watchmen Procedures
• Stress Tests
• Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths
• TIA population
• Carotid Stent Patient Management
• Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias,
• Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI patients
  
  
  

Unit Details

• CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients
• Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length
• There is rapid patient turnover on the unit daily.
• There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
  
  
  

Scheduling

• Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day
• If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy
