The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technician will assist in procedures involving the heart and vascular system, particularly those that require catheterization. They work alongside cardiologists, nurses, and other medical professionals to diagnose and treat heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures :
- Prepare patients for procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, or pacemaker insertion.
- Operate and monitor medical imaging equipment (e.g., X-rays, fluoroscopy) during procedures.
- Set up and test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Assist in catheter insertion and guide its placement during procedures.
