JOB TITLE: Kitchen Specialist
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager
PURPOSE: To cook quality food and provide great customer service.

EXPECTATIONS:
- Prepare a medley of food items for cooking in a variety of kitchen appliances.
- Greet all customers that approach the window or sit at a table and take their food orders.
- Maintain basic knowledge of the menu and offer constructive feedback.
- Be willing and able to operate the latest point-of-sale technology.
- Assume responsibility for quality of products served.
- Understand and comply with our established portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, grills, panini press, fryer, range top, oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
- Properly handle, store, and rotate all products.
- Assist in food or other general prep during off-peak periods as needed or to prepare for the next shift.
- Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing/daily checklists for kitchen stations.
- Wash and store all dishes, and keep dish station clean
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year in a kitchen or restaurant position
- In-depth knowledge of cooking, food handling, food preparation, and customer service

Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
