Paraprofessional - 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR (Position is open until filled and may close at anytime)

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or G.E.D.
• Associate’s (or higher) degree

Or

• Two years (60 semester-hour credits) of study at an institution of higher education

Or

• Arizona Department of Education approved Academic Assessment Test
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Proof of Immunization against Rubeola* & Rubella Measles

*If you were born prior to January 1, 1957 you shall be considered to be immune to Rubeola measles

• Knowledge of instructional methods and techniques
• Ability to work with students, teachers, and parents
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow directions accurately
• Possess computer skills to accomplish required job duties
• Act as a highly confidential employee
• Ability to keep information confidential

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• In accordance with teacher guidelines assist individual students and groups of students in performing their assignments
• Assist teacher in the planning, developing, and monitoring of instructional lessons and school activities
• Prepare supplies and materials needed for lessons
• Assist students with special projects
• Monitor student behavior
• Maintain records and files for teacher
• Perform clerical functions
• Other duties as assigned by teacher or principal
