Bishop Gadsden located on James Island, is a not-for-profit, faith-based retirement community, affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Bishop Gadsden is known as the Southeast's leading life care retirement community and is located on 134 acres of lush marshlands and majestic oaks on James Island, just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Our Therapy Services Coordinator provides administrative support to the managers and department staff, and to facilitate the effective daily operation of the Bishop Gadsden’s Therapy Department.
A Typical Day:
- Manage and update the therapy department schedule, ensuring timely communication of any changes.
- Handle copying, filing, and documentation organization for the Rehab Department.
- Review, print, and refer therapy documentation to the Clinical Manager (CM) for necessary adjustments.
- Serve as a liaison, communicating effectively with medical professionals, residents, and department personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized rehab space, including equipment sanitization as needed.
- Monitor department supply needs and notify the Clinical Manager when replenishment is required.
- Assist the Clinical Manager with various administrative and management tasks as assigned.
What We Need In A Candidate:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years administrative support experience, within a healthcare setting preferred.
- Insurance and/or Medicare knowledge is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to acquire and apply new systems and software platforms.
- CPR certification preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain it within three (3) months of hire.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-).
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to represent the Bishop Gadsden community professionally both in manner and appearance.
