What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Studies Teacher position at Bishop Ireton High School?
Bishop Ireton High School is seeking a full-time Social Studies teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at our campus in Alexandria, Virginia. Candidates should be able to teach World History and U.S. History. Experience in Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment history or social science courses is a plus.
Candidates will:
- demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment.
- have strong communication skills.
- possess a bachelor's degree in History or related; master's degree preferred.
- possess or be willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license or VCEA license
- citizenship, residency or work visa required
- promote the Catholic mission of the school
