What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Bishop McCort Catholic High School?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)
1. Maintain building cleanliness by properly disposing of trash, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
2. Maintain facilities by cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing all bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, weight rooms and wrestling areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
3. Maintain the campus' outside areas by keeping them clear of all debris, snow, and ice to ensure a safe environment.
4. Perform routine electrical and plumbing work such as changing lights, ballasts, parts in toilets and sinks to maintain a functional school environment.
5. Ensure routine preventive maintenance occurs on all boilers, water tanks, and kitchen equipment to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Maintain the Maintenance Department's inventory levels by ordering stock to ensure a proper supply of cleaning supplies, paper products, and general hardware.
2. Assist with after school activities and building rentals by setting up required areas to ensure a successful event.
3. Perform routine upkeep of the rental propoerty to ensure its facilities are well-maintained.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
* 0 to 2 years’ related experience preferred
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
*Required child abuse and criminal history clearances
