School Janitor & Maintenance Worker
Part-Time, Flexible Schedule! 6-10 hours per week, M-F
Job Duties Include:
· Performing basic maintenance repairs throughout the school, including minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs, floor and ceiling retiling, lighting and ballast replacement, hardware reinforcement, furniture and wall restoration, painting
· Regularly maintaining the school grounds, including raking, sweeping, grass cutting, snow removal/salt distribution on stairs and walkway, and seasonal cleanup
· Ensuring that the school is clean and in good condition, with daily and ongoing maintenance of bathrooms, hallways, and heavily trafficked areas of the school
· Moving heavy furniture and equipment to assigned areas as needed
· Debris and trash removal as needed
· Immediately reporting any safety or building concerns to the school principal.

· The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (switches and breakers), as well as heating, plumbing, and electrical
· A knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in school buildings, e.g. lawn mowers, trimmers, vacuums, and snow removal equipment
· A knowledge of general maintenance and repair methods, materials, and tools used in school buildings, e.g. ladders, drills, paint supplies, safety equipment
· Manual dexterity and the ability to carry 25-75lbs with assistance
Requirements:
· 1-2 years’ related experience in maintenance/janitorial field
· Ability and willingness to lift over 25lbs and climb 15’ ladder

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
