Key Responsibilities:
- Observing Residents: Monitoring residents' condition and reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Reporting Health Issues: Notifying the nurse of any health concerns or issues that may arise during care.
- Caring for Personal Hygiene: Assisting residents with bathing, shaving, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Meal Service and Documentation: Setting up meal trays, documenting food and fluid intake, and serving nutritional supplements as needed.
- Feeding Residents: Providing assistance with feeding and hydration.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensuring residents' living spaces are clean and tidy, making beds, and transporting residents within the facility.
- Preventing Bedsores: Turning bedridden residents regularly to prevent skin breakdown.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Protecting residents' and facility data with utmost confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Teamwork: Demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills.
- CNA Program Completion: Successful completion of a CNA program approved by New York State.
