Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our high school teaching team for the academic year 2025-2026.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students from Grades 9 to 12.
  • Develop and implement inspiring lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
  • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
  • Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, with adherence to curriculum and standards.
  • Assess and analyze student progress and modify instructional activities as required.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Other Responsibilities:Additional responsibilities identified as needed and/or assigned and approved by the World Language Department Chairperson and the Administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • State teaching certification in Spanish (Grades 9-12). (preferred- not required)
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Strong understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
