Your role is to tell the story of the excitement, passion, and community spirit surrounding the Larks, helping others connect to the team in meaningful ways.


This position provides the opportunity to learn how to bring these experiences to life through engaging sales conversations, building relationships, and fostering community engagement. The Bismarck Larks are more than just a baseball team—we are a community-driven experience. Since joining the Northwoods League (NWL) in 2017, we’ve become one of the most exciting teams in the league, offering top-tier summer collegiate baseball while creating moments that bring people together. The NWL, the largest organized baseball league in the world with 24 teams, has seen over 350 of its players advance to Major League Baseball since its founding in 1994.

The Position


The Bismarck Larks are seeking a Fan Engagement and Community Sales Rep in Bismarck, North Dakota, to support, drive, and grow our fan engagement efforts. We’re looking for a motivated, coachable, and community-focused individual who excels at telling the story of the immersive experiences the Larks create, while developing relationships with fans, local organizations, and community groups.


As the Fan Engagement and Community Sales Rep, you’ll play a key role in sharing the excitement of Larks experiences—from group outings to special theme nights—by highlighting the unique value of these offerings in every conversation. You will be responsible for engaging with potential fans and partners, explaining the experiences we offer, and guiding them to the right ticket packages, all while creating an inviting and enthusiastic atmosphere.


This position offers hands-on learning opportunities in:

  • Sales & Marketing – Crafting and delivering compelling sales pitches that focus on the fan experience.
  • Community Engagement – Building relationships with local organizations and groups to bring them into the Larks community.
  • Customer Service – Ensuring fans and organizations feel valued, heard, and connected to the Larks' mission.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Engage potential fans, local organizations, and community groups through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, sharing the story of Larks experiences and ticket offerings.
  • Make 60-80 calls daily to individuals and organizations, focusing on how the Larks’ experiences will create value for their group or organization.
  • Manage renewals and service for season ticket holders, mini-plans, and group outings, emphasizing the continued value of Larks experiences.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system, ensuring follow-ups and renewals are timely.
  • Track ticket inventory, sales, and renewals, and provide frequent updates to ensure goals are met.
  • Represent the Larks at community events, local festivals, and corporate promotions, spreading the word about the unforgettable experiences we offer.
  • Assist with game-day customer service, helping ensure fans have an exceptional experience from start to finish.


General Team Responsibilities

  • Availability for all Bismarck Larks home games and team events, including weekends and holidays.
  • Assist with Funatix Events (e.g., Mandan Rodeo Days, festivals, corporate events).
  • Help with ballpark and event setup/teardown.
  • Maintain clean and welcoming facilities for fans and the community.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in community outreach, event planning, or customer engagement is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in storytelling and articulating the fan experience.
  • Ability to create engaging and impactful conversations that resonate with potential fans and partners.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
  • Capable of working long hours (up to 14-hour shifts) and lifting 30-50 lbs.
  • A self-starter with a positive, team-first attitude.


Measuring Success


Success in the Fan Engagement and Community Sales Rep role will be measured by the following key metrics:

  1. Sellouts by Packages and Games:
    Achieving sellouts for key ticket packages (season tickets, mini-plans, group sales) and individual games. Tracking success based on the percentage of sold seats per package and game.


  2. Renewal Rate:
    Maintaining a high renewal rate for season tickets, mini-plans, and group sales. The goal is to consistently meet or exceed renewal targets, ensuring strong retention of existing customers.


  3. Fan Satisfaction:
    Measuring fan satisfaction through feedback, surveys, and interactions. Success is determined by consistently delivering exceptional experiences and receiving positive fan feedback.


  4. Flex Plan Redemption:
    Monitoring the redemption rate of flex plans to ensure high engagement and use of these packages. Success is determined by the percentage of flex plans redeemed compared to the total sold.


  5. Reporting & Database Management:
    Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system. Success will be measured by the timeliness and accuracy of reporting, as well as the effectiveness of lead tracking and follow-up management.
