Position Description & Details

Bismarck State College is looking for a Health Administration Curriculum Developer to help design and develop coursework for our Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Health Administration program. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact by developing dynamic, industry-aligned curriculum that prepares students to lead in the ever-evolving field of health administration.

What You’ll Do:
As our Health Administration Curriculum Developer, you’ll play a central role in building a top-tier academic pathway. Your work will directly support students in gaining the essential knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the healthcare sector. You will:
  • Identify core competencies for health administrators, including key knowledge areas, skills, and industry-recognized credentials.
  • Design detailed course outlines and descriptions, incorporating potential lecture and lab requirements to support hands-on and experiential learning.
  • Develop curriculum and lab exercises across 200, 300, and 400-level courses in the Health Administration BAS program.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders and industry professionals to ensure the curriculum reflects current and future trends in healthcare leadership.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to additional tasks as needed to support the success of the program and institution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and handle interruptions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with curriculum and course development.
  • Experience working with Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience in post-secondary teaching.
  • Substantial industry experience
