Overview
This entry level position will require the Associate Model Maker to work with associates from the Engineering Excellence, Core Performance, Sales and Marketing, PAT, Facilities, Maintenance and Operations teams. This Prototype Lab team member will currently have the needed mechanical design experience utilizing Creo and have the desire to apply this knowledge into specific project needs. The associate will be acquiring the necessary skills to be able to machine and assemble conceptual and fully functional models per instructions, components, and data provided using current model shop equipment.

Degree minimum: Associate degree or certification in relative discipline
Specific concentration: Technology Related Field
Experience level: Has working knowledge of Creo and experience in Model Shop / Prototype Lab environment.
Specialized Training/Education Preferred

Responsibilities
As an Associate Model Maker, this team member will be responsible for:
- Providing intelligent Creo modeling to necessary projects that require part, assembly and/or fixture design.
- Applying modeling and software experience to become subject matter expert in 3D scanning processes.
- Utilizing PTC Windchill for all storage of Prototype Lab specific design work.
- Learning programming through Creo and the operation of CNC mills for machining of plastic, wood, foam and metal.
- Learning programming and start-to-finish operation of all 3D printers and post processing equipment.
- Learning the operation of lathes, vertical mills, wood and metal working equipment in the support of project development.
- Capturing knowledge in the various types of materials, glues, paints and processes utilized in project development.
- Developing all necessary skills in both machine and experience to deliver beyond customer expectation.
- Having the drive to absorb all daily tasks in support of the Model Shop / Prototype Lab, its team members and its projects.
