Overview: This position would assist BISSELL in filing the companies related income, franchise tax and various other tax returns. This includes the preparation of related workpapers and documentation. The position works closely with Accounting and Finance departments as well. The environment is fast paced and adherence to meeting deadlines is critical.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Accounting/Finance or a closely related field. Sophomore/junior level status preferred. The Tax Co-Op will work during BISSELL’s normal business hours with a pre-determined schedule that accommodates class schedules and coursework; working approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of various Federal and State Partnership tax returns.
- Preparation of city income tax returns.
- Pet Foundation 990PF return preparation.
- Reviewing and responding to tax notices.
- Sorting tax department mail.
- Completing quarterly and annual federal surveys – around 6 annual and 4 quarterly.
- Completing and filing of license and gross receipts tax returns.
- Reconciliation of Tax fixed asset, and preparation of tax workpapers.
- Preparing and mailing quarterly tax estimates and extensions.
- Mailing of the federal and state returns income returns for the various entities.
Position requirements:

- 3.0 GPA or greater preferred.
- Demonstrated Leadership and Team Orientation skills.
- Strong interest in Tax/Accounting and related areas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfort in presenting in front of large groups of Associates across multiple business functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
