POSITION SUMMARY: (Summary description of the primary duties and objectives)
Quality Managers work at manufacturing plants to make sure that the products being sent out meet consumer expectations. It’s their responsibility to train their staff to recognize defects and imperfections at all stages of the manufacturing and packaging process to uphold consistent quality standards. Quality Managers communicate expectations to staff and observe production processes to identify the causes of common types of mistakes or defects. They research ways to limit human error on the production line, track the impact of different policies on defective parts.
POSITION PROFILE (Major duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities)
1. Assist in supplier facility audits for supplier quality program as well as customer audits.
2. Assists in investigating customer complaints through evaluation and testing of returned products.
3. Keeps Director of Quality and Director of SW Operations advised of any discrepancy on any product which does not meet set standards prior to being allowed to run in production.
4. Write procedures for inspection methods, testing equipment, charging instructions and reaction plans.
5. Trains personnel in S.P.C. and helps set up control charts and job methods as instructions for associates.
6. Runs physical tests on components and raw materials, including color, physical characteristics, etc.
7.Ensures that all material forwarded into the discrepant material location (DML) is properly documented, counted, and processed through BISSELL SA procedures. Responsible for product being sent to customer and BISSELL receiving credit through SA process.
8. Provides an audit trail maintaining historical records of material received, entered and moved.
9. Supervises inspection personnel.
10. Responsible for U.L. compliance and the maintenance of U.L. procedures in BISSELL Mfg./Remanufacturing processes.
11. Directs KAIZEN and other continuous improvement activities.
12. Responsible for the development and implementation of the annual capital expenditure plan.
13. Leads all maintenance activity in Pharr and Reynosa including equipment and facilities.
14. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
