BITCO Corporation is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Actuarial & Analytics team. This position is based in Davenport, IA and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products, and oil & gas.

Primary Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions and strategic initiatives
- Assists with the development and production of reports and dashboards
- Analyzes and interprets reports to identify and communicate trends and key information
- Integrates statistical data and model insights into reports and dashboards
- Assists with market and industry research
- Prepares collateral reviews and assists with collateral report production
- Assists with rate monitor data acquisition, report production and analysis
- Assists with loss development, loss ratio planning and trend studies
- Build and maintain functional knowledge of underwriting/predictive models including required data and scoring processes
- All other functions and duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate business and technical information clearly to both non-technical and technical audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
- Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working with Excel and Access; experience with R, SQL, and VBA is desirable
- Basic knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products is desirable
