Position Summary :
The Software & Application Test Manager is responsible for leading and managing both the Software Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance (UAT) test teams to ensure quality standards and results are achieved for all solution implementations. for our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, business functionality, and quality assurance best practices. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and ensure that our software products meet or exceed customer expectations. This role also involves mentoring and developing team members, setting performance goals, and ensuring that the QA and UAT teams are aligned with overall business objectives. The Software & Application Test Manager will be responsible for defining and implementing test metrics, reporting on the quality of our software products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Directs and supervises the work of the Software Quality Assurance and User Acceptance teams, including the quality, quantity and timeliness of work produced
- Maintains current company and department procedures. Assigns work, provides training and feedback to team members, and conducts timely and appropriate evaluations of job performance in the department
- Establishes industry accepted Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing methodology, processes, procedures, and tools
- Leads the preparation and delivery of communication plans to educate staff regarding proper and effective testing and validation methodologies and practices
- Ensures the development, maintenance, execution, and monitoring of standardized software testing processes and artifacts
- Leads test teams for the establishment and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Plans and coordinates the workloads of both internal test teams and any external test partner resources (on and off shore)
- Leads the planning and creation of appropriate test automation tooling and processes
- Works closely with Technology colleagues (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Operations staff, and others) along with business stakeholders to ensure required outcomes are achieved
- Provides effective management of the QA and UAT testing teams and their progress ensuring business requirements are met at all times
- Defines, implements, and tracks QA and UAT testing metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Consistently demonstrates critical thinking, analytical, decision making, problem solving, planning and priority setting skills
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and define software development lifecycle (SDLC) requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the test teams
- As a management representative, consistently acts in the best interest of BITCO and provides leadership and communication to actively promote BITCO's mission, values, and culture
