Job Duties
1. Audit and Assurance
- Runs audit, review, examination, agreed-upon procedures and/or compilation engagements from start to finish.
- Supervises, trains and mentors staff on all aspects of engagements to help grow the firm’s capabilities and expertise.
- Possesses or is able to gain subject matter expertise in a variety of industries, such as benefit plans, governments, nonprofits, construction contractors, low-income housing and agriculture.
- Understands and follows required accounting and audit standards ensuring all firm engagements are conforming.
- Able to interpret and implement new pronouncements with supportable conclusions.
- Ensures efficient and profitable management of engagements.
2. Client/public interaction
- Effectively communicates with clients in a manner that creates positive and effective relationships.
- Communicates complex matters to clients verbally and in writing.
- Provides recommendations to clients for business and process improvements.
- Positively represents the firm to the public.
3. Office interaction
- Provides information to partners, supervisors and coworkers; interacts as needed (e.g., problem solving or reporting work)
- Provides assistance/training to newer staff
4. Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills
- Active CPA license.
- Degree in accounting, business or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in public accounting auditing environment.
- Competent with audit/accounting software and adapts to novel situations (e.g., software of clients).
- Time management skills for managing workload priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $94,353.00 - $110,000.00 per year
