Job description
The role of the Cost Accountant is to assist the accounting manager, provide pricing to customers, manage profitability on contracts and provide analytical reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide pricing upon customer request and manage contract data and analysis.
- Assist with cost accounting data.
- Various data entry and processing of customer rebate programs as needed.
- Prepare analytical reports to operations.
- Assists with the preparation of annual budgets and evaluation of KPI’s.
- Participate in year-end inventory counting, closing and reconciliation.
- Review corporate policies and procedures, making enhancements as necessary. Ensure all cost accounting functions are supported by current written procedures.
- Provide assistant to other accounting functions as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable.
- Outstanding organizational ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability to new situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
