Job Summary
Client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Traveling Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical services at multiple facilities across Southern Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to lead and ensure the quality of care at various locations. As the DON, you will be responsible for the overall quality, adequacy, and coordination of clinical services, ensuring that all residents receive high standards of care. This role requires travel between facilities and may include assuming daily operations in the Administrator's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct, oversee, and manage the clinical services for the assigned facilities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Develop, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for each resident, focusing on promoting overall health and well-being.
Supervise nursing staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
Ensure that all resident care plans are properly developed and executed, addressing the individual needs of each resident.
Coordinate care across departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.
Maintain adherence to company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
Collaborate with facility leadership to drive the strategic goals and continuous improvement efforts.
Assume daily operational responsibilities in the absence of the facility Administrator, as required.
Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of nursing staff and contribute to the professional development of the team.
Ensure appropriate and timely documentation of nursing services, assessments, and treatment plans.
Participate in and contribute to meetings, quality assurance, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Licensure: Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations in healthcare, specifically in long-term care.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Ability to travel between multiple facilities in Southern Georgia.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of the Administrator.
Must meet all local health regulations, including criminal background checks and reference inquiries.
