Position: Environmental Commercial Estimator
Location: Charles Town, WV

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Commercial Estimator like you to join our team. Our projects range from soil and groundwater investigations to large scale environmental construction and demolition across the Mid-Atlantic region. We work at commercial and industrial sites, military bases, and federal Superfund sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate estimates for a range of environmental earthwork and demolition projects, including analysis of project plans, specifications, and subcontractor bids
- Perform site visits and gather cost data to ensure precise bidding
- Utilize bidding software to develop cost proposals
- Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project schedules and deliverables
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Assist in proposal preparation, including crafting detailed scopes of work and pricing
- Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental estimating (federal contracting experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid process
- Proficiency with bidding software (e.g., Heavy Bids, RSMeans) a plus
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Familiarity with federal agency requirements (DOD, USACE, EPA, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30 Construction
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check for security clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
