Position Overview
As a Family Law Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the legal field while working closely with experienced professionals. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including legal research, document preparation, discovery documents, client communication, and case management.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
- Case Management: Utilize Clio to manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, organizing files, managing attorney calendar, and managing office supplies.
- Trial Preparation: Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists, and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and other staff to ensure the efficient handling of cases and client matters.
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field. A Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Family Law Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting. Experience with Clio is required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using Clio for case management.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $84,440.00 - $94,469.00 per year
