Infection Prevention/Control Nurse

Position: RN Unit manager– Infection Prevention & Control

Job Duties:

• Develop, implement, and monitor the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and report findings to appropriate stakeholders
• Perform routine audits and inspections to ensure adherence to infection control protocols (e.g., hand hygiene, PPE usage, isolation practices)
• Educate staff, patients, and visitors on infection prevention strategies and procedures
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to investigate infection outbreaks and develop action plans
• Maintain documentation of infection control activities and policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient safety and infection prevention
• Stay current on CDC guidelines and state health department updates related to infectious diseases

Requirements:

• Current and valid RN license in the applicable state
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience (infection control experience preferred)
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $64.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
