Key Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Java and SpringBoot programming languages
- Proficient with MicroServices architecture
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Proficient in containerization principles and Kubernetes
- Understanding of Event Driven architecture principles
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms
- Skills in implementing observability and monitoring solutions
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the initial phase of medium to large scale initiatives to devise overarching design solutions
- Architecting and building high-performance, low-latency service applications
- Developing robust back-end solutions predominantly using Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate
- Proficiency in building and managing Docker containerized environments and Kubernetes orchestration
- Leading the completion of services development, including data integration and workflow management
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for project specifications, iterative development, testing, training, and assimilation of feedback
- Pioneering and refining organizational strategies, methodologies, and industry best practices
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving operational problems in both business processes and production environments
- Performing peer code evaluations and establishing coding standards for the development team
- Providing technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with client-facing interaction capabilities
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
- Knowledge of the retail sector, specifically with self-checkout systems
- Proven ability to manage a team of engineers on designated technical projects
