As a Lead Installation Supervisor, you will oversee the implementation phase of intricate broadcast/media projects on both a local and remote basis. Operating full-time, this role necessitates managing project schedules, ensuring installation quality aligns with the financial and temporal objectives, and maintaining consistent client communications. This exempt role is pivotal in coordinating the efforts of multiple stakeholders to achieve successful project completion.
Key Duties:
- Formulate precise service and material estimation to support project proposals.
- Specify necessary hardware and materials derived from finalized construction documents.
- Engineer efficient pre-build and on-site agendas for the project execution stage.
- Liaise with Project Managers (PMs), engineering teams, and client point persons for installation coordination.
- Work in unison with PMs to secure project-specific hires and external contractors.
- Partner with PMs to outline remote project necessities including accommodations and travel arrangements.
- Assist PMs in establishing project execution budgets, monitor scope deviation, and align staff assignments along fiscal and timeline restrictions.
- Cooperate with the Logistics department to guarantee the prompt delivery of project hardware and materials.
- Direct both in-house and external teams throughout the installation process.
- Act as the primary client contact during on-site duties.
- Oversee team members requests for leave, potential promotions/demotions, and disciplinary measures as needed.
- Validate and process timesheets for project-hire personnel on a weekly cycle.
- Compile and circulate reports detailing progress and material needs.
- Engage with the Engineering team in refining documentation for final as-built records.
- Efficiently manage a portfolio of multiple projects concurrently.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years' experience within the broadcast/media industry, specifically in Installation Leadership or Project Supervision roles.
- Expertise in deploying large-scale professional media systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively handle fluctuating project timelines.
- Willingness and capacity to travel extensively and work extra hours or weekends when needed.
- Proficient in interpreting various technical system documents including system and block diagrams, electrical schematics, and more.
- Skilled in utilizing contemporary cabling, connectors, and associated manufacturing techniques.
- Competent in imparting knowledge of installation practices to team members.
- Knowledgeable of the roles and procedures of related commercial building trades.
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and sustain productive professional relationships.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude along with analytical thinking capabilities.
- Superior communication abilities, both orally and in written form.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel and other pertinent tools.
